  • Client -  Mansfield District Council
  • Value - £171,000
  • Contract - Car park extension, landscaping  and tree felling

The council required further parking at the Crematorium and purchased a section of adjacent woodland to provide the necessary space. Initial operations involved the felling and removal of approx. 20 large pine trees and then extensive earthworks to create an area level enough for the 67 space car park and access road. All deliveries and lorry movements to and from site were carefully coordinated to cause no disruption to the regular services held at the Crematorium.

The sandy subsoil proved to be ideal for Suds drainage systems and all the road gullies were connected into a large soakaway trench along the side of the car park.
